It just looks like light play to me. It’s the way the sun is setting.

All three elves have dark hair.

The elf in the bottom pic, far right, has the correct circlet. The one behind him’s circlet is too high up on his forehead and the one in the top pic doesn’t have the right facial structure from what I can tell.

I’m pretty sure the elf in the far right of the second pic is the same elf that is shown up close. He’s got the right circlet and look at his nose. It’s the same nose that the elf shown up close has.

And in this, you can clearly see he has dark hair.
