Yeeeesss. Something like that. Maybe when Ru’s going off to fight with Celeborn and Galadriel at Dol Guldur at the end of the War of the Ring and he doesn’t know if he’s coming back or not. So he’s finally forced to just tell Tyr how he feels, knowing that either way one of them is going to die, but he doesn’t want to have any regrets in case it’s him.

He’s just going to stick near Galadriel because that’s a safe place and he’ll hope everything turns out okay.
